EDGE Travel Grants Program
One of the proven ways to increase the representation underrepresented (African American, Latino, Native American) Ph.D. students in the social, behavioral, and economic (SBE) sciences is to provide at the beginning of their careers opportunities for professional exposure to scholarly meetings. Not only are students recognized for their research, they also have the opportunity to network with other faculty, students, and successful researchers who serve as role models.

To this end, the EDGE Program provides travel grants to USC Ph.D. students to attend conferences and scholarly meetings in cases where participation by the student advances the careers of students of color in SBE fields and ultimately increase number of faculty of color in SBE fields.
